My work explores the layered and often unseen dynamics of race, identity, and power. Drawing from personal experience and cultural observation, I use visual storytelling to question the idea of a “post-racial” society—one that too often ignores the deeper structures still shaping how we live, connect, and see one another.
Through a blend of iconography, satire, and symbolism, I create images that challenge assumptions and draw attention to the systems we’ve come to accept as natural. I’m particularly interested in how beauty, value, and status are constructed—how race, language, and material become entangled in those definitions.
Rather than offering simple answers, my work aims to hold space for complexity. By using layered textures, unexpected juxtapositions, and metaphorical materials, I invite viewers to look closer and question the frameworks that inform our everyday choices. My hope is to create a space where deeper conversations about culture, identity, and history can unfold—visually, thoughtfully, and honestly.
